David Peter is a Danish and American documentary director/producer and journalist. He has contributed to documentaries for HBO, The New York Times, PBS, and Amazon Prime Video. His short film The Militiaman was a finalist in the 48th Student Academy Awards, an official selection at DOC NYC, and was screened at over 50 festivals worldwide.
His feature documentary, Antytila: The Score of War, is currently in post-production. Filmed over three years, the film follows one of Ukraine's biggest rock bands as they enlist as soldiers during the full-scale Russian invasion. The film captures the band performing alongside Ed Sheeran, Bono, and The Edge.
David Peter studied conflict, security, and development at the University of Bradford and journalism at Columbia Journalism School. Born and raised in Denmark, he is based in New York.
